Simon Kilby shortlisted for Media Leader of the Year at the 2025 Media Week Awards
Simon Kilby, Managing Director of Bauer Media Advertising, has been shortlisted for Media Leader of the Year at the 2025 Media Week Awards – one of the UK’s most prestigious advertising awards.
Over the past year, Simon has championed a safer, more trusted media landscape from partnering with YoungMinds on Bauer’s Where’s Your Head At? campaign, to leading a new digital strategy and launching audioXi, reaching 14.5 million people across the UK.
This nomination follows Simon’s efforts to rally the advertising industry to be more conscientious about their media spend. Sessions at industry events including Future of Media and Media360 has seen Simon call on ad-land to not fall asleep at the wheel, when it comes to their support for social media giants – raising concerns about the societal damage that investment can cause.
Earlier this year, at Media360, Simon said: “The ad industry legacy has been built on trust –without trust, we have no platform to communicate our advertisers’ brands and products… this relationship we have built with audiences over decades, is at risk of collapsing.”
Bauer Media has also been shortlisted for a further four awards at the Media Week Awards. They include:

Winners will be revealed at a ceremony on 16th October at the Marriott Hotel in Park Lane.
