Rio Fredrika joins KISS

KISS has announced today that Rio Fredrika will be joining the team as she takes over weekend evenings on the station for Friday & Saturday Night KISS (7pm – 11pm).

Her first show on KISS will be this Friday 17th April and Rio will also be joining KISS Dance to host the afternoon show Monday – Friday. Rio said: ‘Such an exciting new chapter which I’m buzzing about! The energy is recharged & ready to go. So, let’s do this!’

With an extensive broadcast CV spanning BBC, MTV and Capital FM, Rio is one of the most authoritative female voices in music radio, respected for her distinctive voice, cultural insight; with a reputation for connecting deeply with audiences and spotlighting emerging talent.

With Rio on the KISS schedule the legendary Majestic will be moving from KISS to KISS Dance for a new Friday and Saturday night show (7 – 9pm).

It has also been announced today that Talina, will be making the move to KISS Dance from Rinse FM, bringing with her a deep-rooted connection to underground culture and cutting-edge sounds. Known for her impeccable taste and credibility within electronic and club music scenes, Talina has built a loyal following through her authentic curation and passion for genre-defining sounds. Her arrival strengthens KISS Dance’s position as a destination for true music lovers.

KISS Xtra is also entering a brand new era with new shows across its weekend schedule. Friday at 7pm sees Sir DJ Corey In The Mix blending the biggest Black music and culture genres into one seamless, weekend party.

Then on Saturday nights from 9pm Larizzle joins the party with a show built for the dance floor. Expect Afro House, Afro Electronic, and global percussion-driven grooves that blend tradition with futuristic sound.

All of these changes come at the start of an exciting new chapter for KISS, as a major brand refresh sees the station also continue to evolve its programming with presenters who not only entertain but shape the musical conversation.

A conversation that got bigger this week as KISS Dance and KISS Xtra are also seeing improved distribution with a DAB rollout across Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester.
