It’s Glowtime for Magic Radio with launch of new ad campaign
Gok Wan and his Magic Radio Breakfast Show co-host Harriet Scott are just two of the Magic Radio family starring in a major new marketing campaign launched by the station today. Nicki Chapman, Mel Giedroyc and Gaby Roslin also feature in the campaign which is letting the nation know that ‘It’s Glowtime’ for Magic Radio.
Airing from 15th May, the new campaign will have TV spots during high profile shows including Celebrity Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, Britain’s Got Talent, Good Morning Britain, Coronation Street and This Morning as well as Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and The Jeremy Vine Show on Five.
The music used in the campaign – Waiting for a Star to Fall from Boy Meets Girl, Relight My Fire by Take That and Lulu alongside Natasha Bedingfield’s Unwritten – is a taste of what Magic Radio listeners can expect, highlighting the station’s new music proposition playing the ‘best variety from the 80s to now.’
The campaign will run throughout the summer and will encompass OOH as well as key digital and print activity. This Magic Radio launch follows recent successful marketing pushes for other Bauer Media Audio brands, including Greatest Hits Radio and Hits Radio.
Discussing the launch, Anne Marie-Lavan, Chief Marketing Officer for Bauer Media Audio UK said: ‘This new campaign for Magic Radio celebrates and showcases those key values that we know listeners to the station love – authenticity, inclusivity and, of course, great music. The brand started the year with a number of brilliant, ambitious, signings, with Gok Wan joining Harriet Scott on Magic Radio Breakfast, Nicki Chapman on Mellow Magic and Gaby Roslin and Mel Giedroyc bringing glow time to all our weekends. Our latest campaign marks a significant step forward in how we engage the Magic Radio audience with a fresh approach we believe will resonate deeply.’
